Chikhli Taluka in Buldana District
Chikhli (Marathi: चिखली) is a city and a municipal council in Buldana district in the state of Maharashtra, India. It is located on the Pune-Nagpur highway.
Chikhli is located at 20°02′N 75°47′E / 20.03°N 75.78°E / 20.03; 75.78. It has an average elevation of 606 metres (1988 feet).
Chikhli was earlier known as Deulghat A well known town named Mera Bk comes under Chikhli Tahsil. This town is known for most employed peoples.
The ancient historical temple of Renuka Devi is situated in the heart of city. The only one Temple of Makardhawaj Maharaj is situated at the village Khandala and hence the name of village is Khandala Makardhwaj. Makardhwaj is son of lord Hanuman (Maruti) also Khairushah Baba Darga Well known place in chikhli.
Renuka Devi is deity of Chikhli. Renuka Devi temple is located in the heart of the town. The temple is a marvellous monument. Chaitra pournima is an auspicious day when Renuka Devi "Yatra" is organized.
Lord Shiva Mandir in the old town is another spot worth visiting.
