Mangrulpir is a city and a municipal council in Washim district in the Indian state of Maharashtra.
As of 2001 India census, Mangrulpir had a population of 27,686. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Mangrulpir has an average literacy rate of 72%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 78%, and female literacy is 66%. In Mangrulpir, 15% of the population is under 6 years of age. Mangrulpir, is mostly famous for Monuments & Holy Place Of Pir Hazrat Dada Hayat Qualandar, Janab Ainuddin Jagirdar saheb is the Sajada Nasheen of this Dargah, Birbalnath Maharaj, Diwan Sahib Baba These Middle Era Saints.
There is a temple of Birbalnath Maharaj Which is owned by Thakur Community Of The M.Nath. in the middle of city. There's Fair Every year for Birbalnath Maharaj.2007 Fair (Jatra or Mela) will start 5 February. Dargah Hazrat Dada Hayat Qualandar is the holy place for Muslims.The name of MangrulNath is given in the memory of BirbalNath maharaj. Beside there is good cultural as well as good Educational environment in the schools and colleges. Sambhaji Brigade is organisation which works on social front.This organisation is very powerful in taluka.these people have arrested growth of blind beliefs in taluka. Politics of city is dominated by "Marathas politician in Taluka. There are three Urdu Medium High schools in this town named as Qalandariya Urdu High School & Junior College, Prof. Javed Khan Urdu High School and Aman Urdu High School.There are two Senior colleges. They are V.N.Arts & Commerce College and Y.C.Arts & Science College. There is an area which is known as Ram Singh wadi, but now it has been named as Bilal Nagar. Here Muslim people belonging to different fields live. Diwan Pura and Hafiz pura are the two largest Mohallas of Mangrulpir. Most of the people belonging to Muslim community live here.
